We are delighted to introduce our Patron – Steve Knightley
Steve is the songwriting force behind Show of Hands, widely acclaimed as the finest acoustic roots duo in England, with three Royal Albert Hall sell-outs to their name.
Renowned for his strong, trademark narrative songs that reflect the life, hopes and fears of people throughout the country, Steve also pulls no punches when writing songs about bigger, global issues.
The nominee and recipient of many awards, Steve (along with his long time collaborator Phil Beer) is winner of the prestigious BBC 2 Folk Awards Best Live Act title – as voted for by the public.
As a towering presence in acoustic roots music, Steve has produced many famous recordings, details of which can be found on the Show of Hands website: http://www.showofhands.co.uk/
When we approached Steve after one of his solo gigs and told him about the Waveney Valley Folk Collective he said he would be delighted to give us his backing.
